The function of a lamp is to cast off light that pushes back the darkness. My illuminaries fill this function, yes....but, so much more. These lamps are illuminaries that give off ambient lighting, soft light that changes the mood of the room: warm, romantic, cool and austere, mysterious. Each illumine has its own personality and style evoking a different response. Each lamp is an object of art that has been artist rendered from antique glass, mouth-blown glass, metal fittings and stems. Each features its own, one of a kind style . These lamps are signed by the artist to authenticate their artistry. These are truly collectables. |

Assemblages defined is the art of composition of diverse elements. In my assemblages, I try to use found items to make a statement. I want to move the viewer, touch the sensibilities...be it positive, or negative. Art reflects life. Not always comfortably. If it makes one think, and wonder, it has served its purpose. It has illuminated darkness. |
